Watching the excellent Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, the one where ex IT consultant Scott bought The Priory Restaurant in Hayward's Heath, Gordon commented, "Scott now just needs to drive it, business doesn't just come and sit on your lap, you've got to go looking for it, and if you don't, you're going to fail." This is of course excellent real world business advice when it comes to running a restaurant.
