Elite Retreat

There has been much discussion in the SEO communities about the value of the Elite Retreat organised by Shoemoney and co. We checked out the site, and found the biogs an interesting read, and you get a useful insight into the techniques people use to make money online, like for instance, Shoemoney's "Coke Theory" (if you sell coke, you can make money out of Cherry Coke, Diet Coke etc). From this we found Lee Dodd's EarnersForum.com and his blog www.forumtrends.com, which we will be taking a closer look at.

Web Directories Worth Bothering With

We've just been listening to the latest episode of Net Income, where Rand Fishkin from SEOMoz.org joined Shoemoney and Andrea. In this, Shoemoney recounted how Matt Cutts once said the only web directories worth bothering with are:

dmoz
Best of the Web
Yahoo Directory

A bit like Shoemoney, we can never get into dmoz *sigh*.
